the illustrator, or 'badger', as I like to call it, behind Badgerton Illustrations, a small business situated in Meanjin/Brisbane.
After struggling for 10 years to fit myself into the legal industry like a star-shaped peg in a square-shaped hole; my reality as disabled and neurodivergent prompted my decision to make a dramatic change to focusing on my art and starting anew. What started as a necessary pivot loaded with creative potential early in 2025, has now become a healing and inclusive space allowing me to delve deep into my artistic expression.
With a passion for ceramics, illustration and experimenting with traditional art forms, and an aversion to all things beige, I enjoy creating artworks of funky critters featuring bold and colourful palettes.
Badgerton Illustrations currently offers prints, stickers, ceramic critter creations and one of a kind multi-medium framed artworks.
The badger featured in all my branding is my mascot Bartholomew or 'Barry' for short. I like to say I am the badger behind Badgerton but Barry is the badger upfront and centre.
